A simple festive treat.

I love celebrating the holidays! Valentines is one of my favorites. This Valentine’s party popcorn is the greatest treat. White chocolate covered popcorn with Valentines sprinkles will make the simplest treat seem festive.

I love that it literally takes 10 minutes to make and everyone goes nuts for it. You can use air popped popcorn but I just used lightly salted microwave popcorn. I pop the bag and then spread it on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Then I spread my chocolate. I used white and pink chocolate but really any chocolate will do. I found every color imaginable at Walmart so I can literally make this treat for any occasion. Then just top it off with your desired sprinkles. I can fit two bags of popcorn on one cookie sheet but I always make at least two cookie sheets. I mean if you’re going to make the mess you might as well share the goods! I’ve seen other recipes that use candy, chocolate or other treats. Seriously the sky’s the limit!

Instructions
  1. Pop popcorn and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. (I like to do it in layers, one bag at a time, so that more of the popcorn gets covered in chocolate and sprinkles.
  2. Melt chocolate in microwave. Start for 30 seconds and then stir. Repeat if needed to remove all lumps.
  3. Using a spatula, drizzle melted chocolate over the popcorn and top with sprinkles.
  4. Add another layer of popcorn to your cookie sheet and repeat.
  5. Let cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Break up into small pieces and serve in an airtight container for up to one week.
