A Teaspoon of Home

There are a few traditions that we are sure to make happen around the holidays. Making our favorite sugar cookies is one of them. This recipe is soft and delicious and is the perfect way to celebrate every occasion.

There are three holidays that we are sure to make sugar cookies. Valentines, Halloween, and Christmas are the holidays that we make sugar cookies. It is a tradition that started when I was a child and continues now with my children. They love “painting” cookies with frosting and adding sprinkles.

Double the recipe for double the fun.

The best part about this recipe is that it can be made ahead of time and rolled out later. I often make the dough the day before I roll out the cookies. The recipe makes about three dozen cookies. If you are planning for a crowd or want to give them away, just DOUBLE the recipe.
