This is the ultimate Christmas meal for my family! The tradition started with my grandma, as a young newlywed with very little means to give gifts to her friends and family. She loved baking cinnamon rolls, but wanted to make them a little fancier. So she cut almost all the way through and connected the ends making a ring. She called them sunshine rings because who doesn’t feel happy when they see one!

I love baking bread and this recipe makes that love for baking multiply. I feel like the most intimidating part of bread-making is yeast and this recipe is literally a dump and mix. You can not fail! I place all of the ingredients into my Bosch and turn it on and off a few times and then roll out the dough. It is so simple, you will wonder why you ever bought it at the store.
