What is a trifle?
A trifle is a traditional British dessert of sponge cake and fruit covered with layers of custard, jelly, and cream. This is a treat that we love to make for any occasion. I was first introduced to a traditional Berry Trifle from family in England. It was something so different but so delicious. This strawberry shortcake trifle was a creation for my grandpa for his favorite dessert.
