Friday Faves| Baby Announcement and Sick Kids

Friday Faves: Baby announcement, Halloween, sick kids and favorite Pinterest finds.

This week was one I wish we could forget! You know the kind: fussy baby all day and all night, fevers, but I think the worst part is going a whole week like a sleep deprived zombie. This week’s lack of sleep is beginning to tear me down!

It all started last weekend when my daughter suddenly decided she didn’t want to sleep during the night. She would moan and groan forever. I was thinking it must be teething, but then no teeth. Sunday brought feverish temperatures, a clingy baby and still no sleep. Monday, yes Halloween, she had a temperature of 101.4 and I took her to the doctor. He found absolutely nothing wrong with her and couldn’t tie anything to her high temps. At that point I think everyone is ready to throw in the towel, but you are still the responsible parent of this child who does not want to sleep. Fortunately she is on the mend, currently napping which hasn’t happened this week and the fever is gone. Here’s to hoping for a better weekend!

Halloween was great! We loved dressing up as a family. We took the kids trick or treating to my husband’s work and then walked to a few neighbor houses. Pretty anti-climatic actually.

The best part of this week was announcing a baby coming May 2017 to our little family. We are beyond thrilled and excited to have them close together, being the best of friends. I finally decided it was time to tell people because I was either looking extremely fat or slightly pregnant. I chose to inform them of the later.

Soft Sugar Cookies

I am not one to like store bought cookies. Really I’m a cookie snob and avoid them usually. However there is one cookie that I can never turn down, pathetic I know! I can’t wait to give this recipe a try!
