The Traditional Christmas Quiche

The Traditional Christmas Quiche: the perfect combination of eggs, ham and cheese served in a breakfast pie.

Who doesn’t have a traditional meal for the holiday season? Especially Christmas morning? In our home, it is always Christmas Quiche and cinnamon rolls. It is such a special meal in fact, that it seems odd to have it any other time of the year.

 

The Traditional Christmas Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1 c Saltine Crackers, rolled
  • 1/4 c melted butter
  • 1 c Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 c cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon or diced ham
  • 1/2 c cooked onions
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 2 t chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 t salt

Instructions

  1. Mix crackers and butter and form into a pie dish.
  2. Layer cheese, meat and cooked onions.
  3. Beat together eggs, sour cream, green pepper and salt.
  4. Pour over pie.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  6. Let sit for 10 minutes and serve.
  7. Makes 1 pie.
